Musa Ćazim Ćatić (March 12, 1878 - April 6, 1915) was a Bosnian Muslim poet of Croat orientation.[1] He is currently featured on the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina 50 km note (convertible mark).

Ćatić was born in the northern Bosnian town of Odžak. Ćatić worked as a barber and attended religious school of thought and later law school. He earned a diploma but was prohibited from ever practicing law. Ćatić learned Arabic, Turkish and Persian.

Death

Ćatić was 37 years old when he died. He suffered from tuberculosis, and after treatment in Budapest, he went back in late March 1915 to Tešanj. He died on 6 April of that year and was buried in the cemetery Tešanjska.
